Please refer to this map for an idea of where to park relative to the Point Defiance Pagoda.

  • The ceremony will be starting at 4:00 PM. Guests should arrive a half-hour early at most, so around 3:30 PM.

  • While Seattle is known for cold and light rain… it actually gets pretty hot in the summer! As you will be outside for the ceremony and reception, we recommend dressing appropriately for the warm weather.

The dress code is semi-formal - we want everyone to be comfortable while looking nice.

Light summer dresses or formal wear encouraged with florals or summer / tropical garden colors.

Dress shirts with an optional vest, blazer, or sports coat can also be worn. Men are also encouraged to wear their barong tagalog (Filipino traditional wear) if they have one - the groom and his groomsmen will also be wearing them.

  • We do not have a traditional registry, but we do have a Honeymoon fund that you can contribute to. You can visit it by following this link.

There will also be a “money dance” (Filipino wedding tradition) where guests can pin money onto the bride and groom. We encourage guests to participate in this fun activity!

Lastly, we plan on collecting donations to PAWS Cat City and the Kauai Humane Society.

If you would like to donate on our behalf, please use the links below:

PAWS Cat City - Please donate in memory of Knute, Isis, Buffy, or Thomas (or all of them!) as a gift to Ryan McDaniel (email)

Kauai Humane Society - Please donate in memory of Hershey as a gift to Alyanna Castillo (email)

  • The money dance is a cultural tradition at many wedding receptions (mainly Filipino) where guests offer the newlyweds money to dance with them, or they shower the couple with money. The custom is to help establish the couple in their new life together, or to show how much they are loved and appreciated.

While cash is traditional, we’ll also have a QR code pinned for PayPal and Venmo.

  • The theme of the wedding is “Green Hill Zone” due to a certain blue hedgehog that the couple is a fan of.
